What we do
Repairs, installations, and everything between
Residential garage doors across San Diego and the surrounding area. One worn part or a full replacement door, we handle both.
Spring replacement
Torsion and extension springs. The most common failure on any garage door, and the one you should never take on yourself.
See details →Cables and off-track doors
Snapped cables and doors that jumped the track. We reset the door and find what pulled it off in the first place.
See details →Opener repair and installation
Repair, replacement, and programming across the major brands. Remotes, keypads, safety sensors, and car pairing.
See details →Panels and hardware
Dented panels, worn rollers and hinges, bent track, tired weather seal. We replace the part when the part is the problem.
See details →New doors
Full sales and installation. We measure on site, walk you through the options, and take the old door away.
See details →Tune-ups and maintenance
Balance, lubrication, alignment, and a safety-reverse test. The cheapest visit we make, and the one that prevents the expensive ones.

No surprises, start to finish
A garage door is the heaviest moving object in your house. We treat it that way.
STEP 01
We diagnose
A full look at the door, springs, cables, track, rollers, and opener. Not just the part that broke loudly.
STEP 02
We explain
What failed, why it failed, and your options. You get a free on-site estimate before we start.
STEP 03
We fix it
Correct parts, correct balance, safety check on every job. If the price changes mid-job, we stop and ask first.
STEP 04
We show you
Before we leave, we walk you through safe use and the maintenance that keeps it running.
Something wrong right now?
Start here
Some of these you can sort out in five minutes without paying anyone. We wrote up which ones.
Door will not close, opener light blinking
Almost always the safety sensors. Often a five minute fix you can do yourself.
Troubleshoot it →Loud bang, now the door will not lift
That sound is a spring. Stop using the door and read this before you touch anything.
Troubleshoot it →Door reverses partway down
Sensors, track obstruction, or force settings. Three things to check in order.
Troubleshoot it →Everything else
Grinding, rattling, remote trouble, a door that opens on its own. The full symptom list.
Open the guide →Why a small shop
The person who answers is the person who does the work
No call center. No dispatcher reading from a script. No technician who has to phone a manager for permission to give you a number.
That also means we will talk you out of work you do not need. Plenty of companies will tell you to replace a 15 year old opener. We usually will not. If the motor runs, the gear is intact, and the safety sensors work, a small part often buys you a few more years.
What we will not do
- Quote a number over the phone and change it in your driveway.
- Sell you a full door when one panel failed.
- Hand you the winding bars so you can adjust a torsion spring yourself. Those bars store enough energy to break an arm.
- Start work before you have seen the estimate.

Guides worth reading before you call anyone

How long garage door springs last, and how to read yours
A standard spring is rated for 10,000 cycles. Open and close the door four times a day and that is roughly seven years. Here is how to tell where yours is.
California lawCalifornia requires a battery backup on your garage door opener
SB 969 took effect on 1 July 2019. If you replace an opener in California it must have a battery backup. Most homeowners have never heard of it.
SafetyTwo safety tests you can run today in under a minute
Federal law has required auto-reverse on every residential opener since 1993. Yours may not still work. Testing it takes 30 seconds.
